As the cold season approaches, scenes of lively meals around earthenware pots come to mind. Recently, earthenware pots have been attracting attention as the star of a growing variety of one-pot meals, and in 2009, I was asked to design an IH-compatible earthenware pot using carbon material as the heating material. The result was four types of earthenware pots: one for pots and pans, one for cooking rice, one for stews and curries, and one for steaming vegetables, fish, and other dishes.
The new heat source, IH-compatible, allows for heating with both gas and IH. At the exhibition, table setting of the earthenware pots and dishes by table coordinator Kumiko Matsushita will be shown.
