Exhibition of ironware from the Cast Iron Studio

Japan has become widely known throughout the world as the land of fine teas, as exemplified by the chanoyu tea ceremony. Beautiful tetsubin iron kettles and the techniques of cast iron artisans have long been nurtured by the culture of tea. The hot water in tetsubin tetsubin does not easily cool down, and their beautiful forms are becoming increasingly popular around the world. This exhibition will feature the work of Masuda, who is creating the most modern ironware available today.Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2006 - Saturday, October 21, 2006 Venue: Gallery ANIMA
