The exhibition will feature new works from a collection presented overseas over a two-year period, using bamboo from Shimane Prefecture and prefectural wood from Akita Prefecture as materials. Bamboo exhibited chairs and tables under the title "FLAT BAMBOO SHIMANE" at the interior magazine INTERNI's 20th anniversary event "MATERIAL IMMATERIAL" during the Milano Salone in April 2017, where a new technique was developed to flatten Shimane bamboo with its skin on, which has The new technology for flattening Shimane bamboo with its skin still attached has been developed and is attracting attention overseas.
Meanwhile, "AKITA COLLECTION" using wood from Akita Prefecture was presented at the international trade fair Milan HOM in 2017 and 2018, and the concept of "turning Japan's unique materials into world products with Takumi's technology" attracted the attention of visitors to the exhibition hall.
With the theme of Japan's unique manufacturing, this project combines resources native to each region with the skills of local artisans and new technologies nurtured in each region to create highly original and unique products to be presented to the world.

Designer Toshiyuki Kita will introduce the "AKITA COLLECTION" and "Flat Bamboo Shimane," the collections exhibited in this exhibition. Kita, who is based in Osaka and has been designing all over Japan for many years, as well as in Milan and now in various cities in China, will also introduce his daily experiences in various parts of the world with photos.
