MULTI LINGUAL CHAIR

1992年開催のスペイン・セビリア万博の日本館回転劇場500席のためにデザインしたスピーカー内蔵のパーソナルチェア。ヘッド部のボタンで3つの言語から選べる。当時のハイテク技術を使い、有機的なフォルムでまとめ、未来感や親しみを表現することを意図した。万博が人々の近未来への提案の場であることや、現代の日本を表現することを意識してデザインした。

A chair designed for the Seville Expo '92 Japanese Pavilion. The high-tech technology available at that time was used to create an organic form, with the intent of expressing both a futuristic feeling and a sense of intimacy. This work was consciously designed with the understanding that the Expo is a place to raise suggestions for the near future and to express what modern Japan is about.
