300年余りの伝統を持つといわれる津軽塗は、色漆を何度も塗り重ねて研ぎ出すことにより、美しい模様や柄が表われ、長く使うことで経年変化が生み出され、色や模様が変化する特色を生かした伝統工芸品である。食卓を彩るテーブルウェアなど、漆塗の技法と時間を取り入れた独特の面白さがある。
 
Tsugaru-nuri, said to have a tradition of over 300 years, is a traditional craft that takes advantage of the unique characteristics of the colored lacquer applied and honed over and over again to produce beautiful patterns and designs, which change over time as they are used longer and the colors and patterns change.
